SETI  (Instinct Records, 1994)

"SETI combines the talents of NY producers Taylor 808 (of Human Mesh Dance/Prototype 909) with Savvas Ysatis (Omicron) in a unique ambient exploration in search of intelligent like amongst the stars. Based on a concept by author Madison Blue who wanted to explore the ideas of the US Government's SETI PROJECT, the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, a project funded for the study of potential life to be found elsewhere in our galaxy. An unusual and ambitious musical project."

A collaboration between Prototype 909 member Taylor Deupree (Taylor808) and Grecian electronic composer Savvas Ysatis, who also records as Omicron.

SSETI stands for and is named after "Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence" - a NASA project that organized researchers and radio telescope facilities in order to systematically scan the cosmos for radio signals that might indicate intelligent life forms.  After the US government dropped NASA's funding for this project it became an independent research organization called The SETI Institute which still operates today.  Because of the massive amounts of raw data collected by SETI scientists and the limited computing power available to the researchers, some supporters of the SETI project developed a distributed computing platform that allows anyone to use their personal computers to aid in the analysis of SETI radio data.  You can help the SETI Institute by downloading and running the software on your computer.

Taylor Deupree and Savvas Ysatis have joined for numerous special projects beyond SETI such as Futique and Arc (12k).
